What will I give to the world today? 


What will I add to the experiences of the people with whom I have contact on this day?


I can't say for sure just whom I'll deal with today, but I can decide right now whether I want my contribution to this day to be positive or negative, helpful or hurtful, constructive or destructive, uplifting or not.

I love my daily email from Morning Coffee - I always get some little nugget of inspiration or feel good insight or just a lift when feeling down.  And the most delicious pictures, different every day, nostalgic, comforting, funny or cute - like the one above.  

Today, this caught my imagination - what will I give to the world today?

" Morning Coffee"

Now that I follow a mostly Raw Diet, eating lots of fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, Green Smoothies and Green Juices, baking is no longer on my menu very much at all.

BUT ...

I do miss baking! All the gorgeous Recipes that I cut out from magazines and books to try one day and my "Tried and Tested in Barbs Kitchen Recipe Books" are ignored and forgotten on my Book Shelves, getting no exercise at all.

So you can understand that I look forward to occasions when I can whip up a creation for others to eat.

I drew Dessert for our Christmas 2011 family get-together dinner - and looking through the recipe books, a page fell open to Heavenly Apple Pie; was this synchronicity? This was a favourite bake of my mother's for a while, one she collected in the 1980's I think and, in the end, feeling nostalgic (Christmas does that don't you find?), missing her as she died many years ago, I chose Mom's recipe.

So here it is - Heavenly Apple Pie - very rich and deliciously moreish!
